We certainly kicked off the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee weekend in style, with a double performance day!
Our Silver Swans started at Bucklebury Farm, performing twice for the lovely families of young children. We also enjoyed meeting all the animals and were being entertained ourselves by a terrific one-man band!
Then to top our lovely day off, more of our dancers joined us at Thatcham Town Council’s Beacon Lighting event. Not only did our dancers perform to thousands, but we also wore our own carnival costume creations and paraded through the field leading 50 local primary school children!
The day finished with a bang - a spectacular firework display. What an excellent start to the bank holiday weekend, and how wonderful it was to have our dance community and local community combine through cultural celebration.
