A Masters with Distinction!

I’ve been waiting four years to post this! ..I can’t wait to FINALLY say that I have completed an MA in Education (Dance Teaching) at Royal Academy of Dance! And I’m thrilled to have received a distinction overall and to have finished with a personal best of 90/100 on my final thesis!

I began this course in order to feel validated as a teacher and gain my RAD-registered teacher status. Despite years of on-the-job experience as a teacher, having transitioned from performing work with no official teaching qualifications, I couldn’t help but feel invalidated in the teaching space. Undertaking this course whilst navigating life milestones (house moves, marriages etc), whilst growing a full time business, and the added perfectionism that dancers carry, has been the most challenging time of my life. This being said, the course has been transformative and my dancers, school and I have developed tremendously! BIG UP LIFELONG LEARNING!
