August 2021

Our classes may be having a break for the summer but that doesn’t mean Sonia has kept still! Last week Sonia officially became a student on the Masters in Dance Education at the Royal Academy of Dance.

The Masters course is designed to complement and work around her demands as a dance teacher and so will last 3 years, all via distance learning.

She’s had a baptism of fire with heaps of reading to get through but has found it's been great giving and receiving support from her new peers across the world in the USA, Canada, Malaysia, China, and Australia!

Visions of Recovery

July 2021

In honour of National NHS, Key and Frontline Workers Day on the 5th July, Emergency Exit Arts, in conjunction with Thatcham Town Council, invited us to perform in their ‘Visions of Recovery’ event in Thatcham.

This was our first time performing live to an audience and it’s fair to say the crowd loved us. We even finished with the audience joining us for ‘the twist’!

We were pleased to hear how much our Silver Swans enjoyed themselves too and cannot wait until our next performance opportunity.
